It's always a great time at Toronto Hyundai when they hold their annual Hyundai Sunday. They do it a little different than most dealerships; they have fresh pasta, live music and lots of food! I've been lucky enough to be able to be a part of Toronto Hyundai's Pasta Sunday events since 2012. The fact that we've been making highlight videos of this even for so long prompted us to really discuss how we can make this years' video a little different. I think the pacing of the edit and the overall treatment to the effects really helped to make this one stand out from previous years. I can't wait to see what we'll come up with next year!
We were extremely blessed to have the opportunity to work with team at Silk'n and create a launch teaser for their new product. They invited some prominent beauty bloggers to be the first to check out and try Titan first hand (or face). Since their products are all about health and beauty it only made sense to hold the event at Planta in Toronto's Yorkville. Planta specialized in internationally inspired plant-based dishes, and boy is it fresh! There was mingling, eating and lots of product demos as well as an education portion on the science behind the technology.
Sometimes I wish all of our projects could be highlights of wild holiday parties. :) The people over at Pegasus Mortgage & Financial Solutions sure know how to throw a year end party. It was held at Markham Convention Centre and included food, live music, prizes, awards, games and lots of dancing. And yes....we're doing it again next year!
We recently had the pleasure of working with our friends over at Umana Health to come up with a 1 minute commercial spot that would accurately and effectively speak the message of the company as a whole. The ask was simple; something quick, something that heavily spoke the language of Felix and his company and something motivating and powerful.
The overall story and dialogue of the commercial was designed and written and based on thee keywords; Honest, Passionate, Empowering. These drove the shot choice (what would be included and excluded) as well as what Felix would talk about in his monologue. From there it was simply organizing everything in a manner that would flow well. In this case the story went from the sense of being injured and not having hope to working with someone who cares and learning movement, confidence and feeling better. Then the final steps of location scouting, choosing models, scheduling and preparing gear were done about 2-3 weeks before shooting.
A special thank you to Felix, the Umana Health Team and, Xtreme Couture Toronto for trusting us with your vision and giving us the opportunity to create something that will help change lives!
